BlueTie Awarded Key Patent for Secure File Transfer

Thursday, August 04, 2005
BlueTie, a leading developer of business and carrier-class email and collaboration software, has been awarded a U.S. Patent for its secure file transfer system. The system uses two forms of encryption (synchronous and asynchronous) to enable sending and receiving electronic documents and files between two parties via the Internet without any software.

BlueTie's secure file transfer system enables businesses and organizations that are required to comply with privacy and security regulations such as those imposed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act to have a simple and secure means of compliance when transmitting sensitive information.

The patent is a U.S. Patent, and was invented by David Koretz, BlueTie's founder, President and CEO.

"BlueTie continues to push the limits of Web technology. The secure file transfer system is an incredible innovation that enables any user to send and receive secure files without having any technology knowledge," said David Koretz, President & CEO.
