Go Daddy Passes 9 Million Domain Names

GoDaddy.com announced today that the domain portfolio for its three ICANN-accredited registrars has surpassed the record-breaking 9 million mark, according to statistics reported by domain industry analyst Name Intelligence, Inc.
The three registrars in the Go Daddy Group, flagship registrar GoDaddy.com, reseller registrar Wild West Domains, Inc.(R) and membership-based registrar Blue Razor Domains,Inc., passed the 9 million mark in record time; when Go Daddy sold its first domain name registration in November 2000, the Network Solutions registrar group had the largest domain name portfolio.
"Obtaining a domain portfolio in excess of 9 million domains is a landmark event in the history of the domain name industry," said Jay Westerdal, CEO of Name Intelligence.
