ITC^DeltaCom Sells e^deltacom for $25.8 Million

ITC^DeltaCom, Inc., a provider of integrated communications services, yesterday announced that it has entered into an agreement with members of the Quality Group of Companies (Quality), a full-service developer and provider of specialized commercial and governmental facilities. As per this agreement, ITC^DeltaCom will sell its e^deltacom business, including e^deltacom's data center facility in Suwanee, Georgia for $25.8 million.

"The sale of e^deltacom represents a continuation of our strategy tofocus on our core competencies and to strengthen our balance sheet,"says Randall E. Curran, CEO of ITC^DeltaCom. "We look forward topartnering with Quality as we establish a relationship that ensuresthat both companies continue to provide outstanding service to theirrespective customers."
 
ITC^DeltaCom says it will continue toprovide telecommunications services to e^deltacom and Quality. Thedeal, subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to close bythe end of the third quarter.
