Novell Names New President
Friday, August 05, 2005
Infrastructure software and services provider Novell (novell.com) announced on Friday it has appointed Susan Heystee as president of Novell North America. Heystee will head up Novell's North America operations, and will be responsible for directing the company’s field sales, consulting, channel business and customer support.
Heystee replaces Ron Hovsepian, who was recently promoted to executive vice president and president of worldwide field operations for Novell. Heystee also joins the company's worldwide management committee.
"Novell is well positioned in growth markets with our Linux and identity management solutions," says Heystee. "We have a great opportunity to help customers leverage the power and value of open source. It's an exciting time to be chosen to lead the strong team we have in North America."
Heystee has been with Novell since March 2004 where she held the positions of vice president and area general manager for the Midwest region. As an experienced leader in the enterprise software and services industry, she has held senior positions with SSA Global and Baan.
