RackForce Opens New Data Center
Wednesday, September 28, 2005
RackForce has opened K3, its third data center facility in Kelowna, British Columbia. The data center has the capacity for up to 6,000 rack mounted servers. K3 can operate at speeds up to 10,000 gigabits per second and features redundant dual hydropower substation connections.
"Due to high demand we have expanded to a third data center as we are rapidly gaining customers who are looking for a safe environment with a low threat to natural disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes," says Brian Fry, RackForce's vice president.
K3 will provide RackForce with significantly more space for its dedicated servers, virtual private servers and colocation hosting services.
